Drive has great drama, crime, and some high impact action. drive, staring Ryan Gosling is the must see movie. Gosling plays a stunt man by day and a getaway driver by night.
Gosling starts the movie in a very common chevy silver impala waiting for two robbers to return from the job so he can create the perfect getaway. As Gosling just slides past obstacles with his driving skills, he shakes off the police everytime. This movie is out of his usual movie roles but in this case it really worked for him. Gosling, referred to as the Driver, also works in a mechanics garage with his friend and sometime employer Shannon (Bryan Cranston).
Shannon and Driver plan to persuade a couple of local mobsters to invest in a car that will be both Shannon's and the Driver's ticket out of this dangerous lifestyle.
This love interest is the neighbor down the hall from him, Irene (Carrey Mulligan) and her son Benecio. The only disruption of this is that Irene's husband returns from jail and gets in the way of the new romance as he brings some new criminal trouble back to his family, which takes the movie into the Driver's hands.
The Driver is left with the option to set up a deal to protect the family and take them off the grid. When the deal ends up being a set up the Driver then seeks revenge.
Gosling really puts himself into the driver seat. A lot of the violence in the movie is strong, graphic and in slow motion which makes it very visual.
Drive is rated R For the strong brutal bloody violence, language and some nudity, Drive is a movie to see with friends or make it a date night. Drive brings classic Hollywood, with plenty of suspense to keep you wondering what the Driver is going to do next.
