For all of those people out there looking for "the one," "What's Your Number," is the movie see.
Ally Darling who is once, twice, 20 times a lady is played by Anna Farris. Ally is a 30 year old bachelorette obsessed with Lionel Ritchie, looking for the one, and a date to her sisters wedding. Unlike her perfect sister Daisy (Ari Graynor), Ally has hit a rough patch in her life; she just lost her job, lost her current boyfriend and now has to help her rather harsh mother plan Daisy's wedding.
Ally reads an article in Marie Claire called "What's your number?"
It says "Once you go over 20 sexual partners, you will never find your laterpartner." Ally gets curious and decides to list all her past boyfriends and track them down so she won't go over number 20.
To help Ally find these exes is her neighbor, Collin (ChrisEvans), who is almost commonly seen wearing only a dish towel. Ally makes a deal with Collin. He could use her apartment to hide the morning after his one-night stands but he has to track down all her exes.
As Ally seeks out her exes she comes across the men of her past. The men include her latest
ex (Zackary Quinton),
the Brit (Martin Freeman), the doctor(Thomas
Lennon), the former
boss (Joel Mchale), the magician (Mike Vogel), the puppeteer
(Andy Samberg) and the perfect "one." He's rich, handsome, her mother loves him and hes totally available (Dave Annable).
As Ally goes through all of her exes she remembers why each one was considered an ex in the first place. Collin seems to get closer to Ally as they continue the search for Ally's perfect "one." After so much has gone wrong finding these exes, Collin decides to take Ally out for a fun night to make her feel
better. They begin to have feel
ings for each other, until
Ally finds out that
Collin has hidden
information. He knows where her number one guy (Dave
Annable) lives and his phone number. So he can keep what he has with Ally going strong.
